Klangfestival sucht Mitwirkende für die Eröffnungs-Performance Badehabitat
von und mit Doris Uhlich
im Rahmen des KLANGfestival Gallneukirchen 2026
Die Performance Badehabitat eröffnet das KLANGfestival 2026 im Alten Hallenbad Gallneukirchen. Dafür sucht das Festivalteam gemeinsam mit Doris Uhlich Menschen (mit oder ohne Tanzerfahrung), die Lust haben, bei der Choreografie mitzumachen. Wir sind an einer Vielfalt an Geschlechtern, Hintergründen und Fähigkeiten interessiert.
Jede:r ist willkommen! Unabhängig von Alter (18+), Geschlecht oder Herkunft. Every Body is welcome!
Hast du Interesse an Bewegung? Willst du etwas Neues ausprobieren? Hast du Lust, Teil der Performance zu sein? Kannst du bei den Proben inkl. Pausen und Aufführung (siehe unten) dabei sein?
HINTERGRUND
In Badehabitat stehtdie Arbeit mit dem Körper im Zentrum. Badehabitat zeigt den Körper in seiner Stärke und Fragilität. Zu elektronischen Klängen und Techno-Tracks feiern die Performer:innen ihre Einheit und Vielfalt. Als Individuen und als Gruppe transformieren sie das Alte Hallenbad in Gallneukirchen in einer Performance, die fesselnd, hochenergetisch und zuweilen kollektiv in sich ruhend ist. Badehabitat transzendiert konventionelle Vorstellungen von Körper und Tanz auf subversive Art und Weise. Es geht über konventionelle Schönheitsideale hinaus. Badehabitat ist eine utopische Hymne.
Das Klangfestival 2026 widmet sich unter dem Leitmotiv „This stupid world – is all we have“ der Gegenwart als Ausgangspunkt künstlerischen Handelns – einer Gegenwart, die zugleich kritisiert und gestaltet werden kann. Das Zitat der US-Band Yo La Tengo dient als Impuls für ein Festival, das die Spannungsfelder zwischen Resignation und Aufbruch, zwischen Dystopie und Utopie, zwischen Verzweiflung und Verantwortung erkundet.

Aufwandsentschädigung
Der gemeinnützige Kulturverein Klangfolger fördert innovativ-experimentelle Verknüpfungen. Wir können für ausgewählte Bewerber:innen einen Festivalpass, ein Zine und bei Bedarf einen Schlafplatz zur Verfügung stellen.
Die Teilnahme an allen Proben ist Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an den Aufführungsterminen.
Die/der Mitwirkende erklärt, selbst haftpflicht- und unfallversichert zu sein. Die Teilnahme am Projekt Badehabitat erfolgt freiwillig, eigenverantwortlich und auf eigene Gefahr.
WICHTIGE HINWEISE
- Das Badehabitat findet in Badekleidung statt.
- Für die Teilnahme an diesem Projekt ist die Beteiligung in Badekleidung aller Mitwirkenden bei der Generalprobe und der Aufführung erforderlich (nicht bei allen Proben).
- ES GIBT KEINEN PLATZ FÜR SPANNER UND VOYERISMUS! Ein Ausschluss kann jederzeit durch die verantwortlichen Personen (Coaches und Team) erfolgen. Es gilt ein Foto- und Filmverbot für die gesamte Probendauer für alle Beteiligten und Außenstehende.
- Während der Generalprobe und den Aufführungen von Badehabitat werden von einem/einer internen Fotograf*in Fotos und Videos für Presse- und Dokumentationszwecke gemacht. Aufnahmen werden nur nach Rücksprache und Einverständnis der jeweiligen Mitwirkenden veröffentlicht.
- Das Awareness-Team des KLANGfestivals begleitet alle Proben und Aufführungen und ist jederzeit ansprechbar.

KLANGfestival is looking for participants for the opening performance Badehabitat
by and with Doris Uhlich
as part of KLANGfestival Gallneukirchen 2026
The performance Badehabitat will open KLANGfestival 2026 at the Old Indoor Swimming Pool in Gallneukirchen. For this project, the festival team together with Doris Uhlich is looking for people (with or without dance experience) who are interested in taking part in the choreography. We are interested in a diversity of genders, backgrounds, and abilities.
Everyone is welcome! Regardless of age (18+), gender, or origin. Every body is welcome!
Are you interested in movement? Would you like to try something new? Do you want to be part of the performance? Are you available to attend the rehearsals (including breaks) and the performance (see below)?
BACKGROUND
In Badehabitat, working with the body is at the center. Badehabitat presents the body in its strength and fragility. Set to electronic sounds and techno tracks, the performers celebrate their unity and diversity. As individuals and as a group, they transform the Old Indoor Swimming Pool in Gallneukirchen into a performance that is gripping, highly energetic, and at times collectively calm and inward-looking. Badehabitat transcends conventional ideas of body and dance in a subversive way. It goes beyond traditional beauty ideals. Badehabitat is a utopian hymn.
KLANGfestival 2026 is dedicated to the present as a starting point for artistic practice under the guiding theme “This stupid world – is all we have.” The quote by the US band Yo La Tengo serves as an impulse for a festival that explores the tensions between resignation and new beginnings, dystopia and utopia, despair and responsibility.

The non-profit cultural association Klangfolger supports innovative and experimental connections. For selected applicants, we can provide a festival pass, a zine, and, if needed, accommodation.
Participation in all rehearsals is a prerequisite for taking part in the performance.
Participants confirm that they have their own liability and accident insurance. Participation in the Badehabitat project is voluntary, at one’s own responsibility and risk.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Badehabitat takes place in swimwear.
- For participation in this project, all participants are required to wear swimwear during the dress rehearsal and the performance (not during all rehearsals).
- THERE IS NO PLACE FOR GAWKING OR VOYEURISM! Exclusion may occur at any time by the responsible persons (coaches and team). Photography and filming are strictly prohibited for all participants and outsiders throughout the entire rehearsal period.
- During the dress rehearsal and performances of Badehabitat, photos and videos will be taken by an internal photographer for press and documentation purposes. Recordings will only be published after consultation and with the consent of the respective participants.
- The KLANGfestival awareness team will accompany all rehearsals and performances and is available at all times.
