Xenofox veröffentlichen am 3. Februar 2023 ihr neues Album „The Garden Was Empty“ auf Olaf Rupp´s Label Audiosemantics. Ein Album Release Konzert findet am selben Tag in der Berliner Galiläakirche statt.
Da klirrt es doch auch mal heftig im Porzellanladen der Musikgeschichte. Es geht aber irgendwie nie ums Kaputtmachen. Die Entwicklung, das Dazwischen, die heimliche Ruhe im Gewusel der Scherben macht da irgendwas Sonderbares mit einem. Dahinter steckt eine Schaffenswut, die mit genügend Gelassenheit daherkommt, dass irgendwann immer wieder alles zu einem mäandernden Ganzen zusammenkommt. Eine utopisch organische musikalische Wildnis wuchert und greift so respektlos um sich, dass dem gepflegten europäischen Konzertparkett angst und bange werden könnte um seine gebohnerten Dielen.

Xenofox will release their new album "The Garden Was Empty" on 3 February 2023 on Olaf Rupp's label Audiosemantics. An album release concert will take place on the same day at the Galilee Church in Berlin (widerstandsmuseum.de).
They can make quite a fuss in the china shop. But the aim is not to destroy things - it is about creating spaces, the air and the hidden silence amidst all the rubble that begets something special. A creative furor comes along with just enough ease to make sure that in the end everything fits together well to form a meandering whole. There is an organic wilderness in this music gaining ground so irreverently that if you are able to enjoy a note, a sound, a beat just for what they are: a note, a sound, a beat, then you will have fun to see the wood for the trees.
